Sg Idles new backup plan
Today is Dumpling DragonBoat Festival.
Story has it that in Ancient China, some VIP was maligned and he would rather
commit suicide than to let it damage his reputation. Hence, he drowned himself
in a river, then some villagers started worshipping him by refusing to allow
his body to be eaten by the fishes (more like, they don't wanna digest
pieces of him in the fish they poach). So they made rice dumplings and
started dumping them into the river for the fishes.
I am not sure if they have sweet and salty, two different kinds of flavours
then; but one thing for sure is, Ancient China seems to have a lot of time and
rice, hor? And since it's all about dumplings, why don't we just name it as Dumpling
Festival instead of some fancy-schmacy name, like DragonBoat?!
Anyway, on my way back I heard loud music blasting from somewhere, a distance
away. It was some guitar melody; something like the guitar part of Nothing else matters by Metallica.
So when I got in the house, my mum start exclaiming to me there is Ge Tai
on the other side. Is there supposed to be GeTai for DragonBoat Festival?!
Sing for who to hear, I really wonder.
Then in my room, the music just got louder.
Unlike most common GeTai with regular fixes like Teresa Teng, Fei Yu Qing and
CT Girls, there is actually Guns N Roses!
Sweet child 'o mine sung by a man!
Got American Twang somemore ah!
If stripping for blog signifies
the new age of blogging, then engrish rock songs for GeTai probably
signifies something new too. No?
Ah... I think the Singapore Idol alumnis got backup plan liao.

In case you've forgotten who they are...
